This poor little red Gisella is like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way. Unlike Mary Poppins she has a small black mark that will not go away.

As you can see in the first image, it is not that noticeable, and in image 2 you can see that it is not very large.

Will you give this poor self conscious Gisella her forever home, we have all had black spots in the past and remember how it appeared to be the end of the world at the time, but now do not give it a second thought, there are bigger things to worry about 🤣

This gorgeous classic style bright vibrant red dollaro leather double top handle grab bag is made in Florence from high quality Italian leather. But what is dollaro? This is the Italian term used for leather where the textured grain effect has been embossed into the hide before it is cut to get the different panels. The leather for this needs to be quite thick to enable the embossing without cutting through, even so the leather is still pliable and soft to the touch. The leather will soften further with use as all leather does in its life with us.

The main compartment is accessed via the by the easy access full base to base zip with two gold coloured metal pullers, inside, there is just the one main compartment, with a zipped lining compartment and vanity pocket on opposite sides of the bag. The gusseted sides ensure that your belongings stay in the bag when you open it, rather than falling on what it is standing on.

The lining of Gisella is “maialino sintetico” or as the factory then explained, it is the “king of Italian PU” this means that it is very hardwearing, resilient and easy to clean, being a light colour means that it is easier to find things, something Ang always has fun with in her overloaded bags.

This bag is meant to be used as a hand or crook of the arm bag, but there is an occasional shoulder strap which is detachable, and attached via the small gold coloured metal loops behind two of the handles, meaning that they are not seen normally. The strap is quite thin so easy to stow away in your bag, it is not adjustable as intended for occasional use and has a length of approximately 103cm. The handles to bag drop is approximately 11cm.

Gisella is classed as a medium size bag, with approximate dimensions of 30cm side to side at the base and 27cm at the top, 23cm in height and a depth of 9cm at the base.

The base panel can be one or more pieces, this is to maximise every hide and keep the waste down as low as possible.

Our bags will come with a stamp and/or label saying Vere Pelle Italiana, translated, this means Real or Genuine Italian Leather, and Prodotto a Firenze Italia, being Made in Florence Italy.

Some bags may come with a faint smell that is not the leather, this will be either due to the tanning of the leather, or glue, for bags that are glued and stitched, this is normal and will wear off quickly.

The model shown is 5' 6" and a UK size 10/12, and the credit card is for size guidance only.

Due to our bags being made using cow hide which is tanned to become leather, you will find variations in colour, softness, and the grain of the leather. Much like us the cow’s skin is not uniform and is subject to the elements and cuts and grazes just as we are, this results in variations in the thickness and scars in the hide which is then accentuated in the tanning process, this is one of the things that we love about real leather.

These unique markings can be removed to give an unflawed leather, but this is very wasteful and as a result a lot more expensive to produce a bag, so if you are looking for this you will need to pay a lot of money as only the most expensive brands waste leather by not using anything with a blemish.

Delivery and returns

UK Deliveries 

These are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 postal service, and should arrive the next working day. A tracking number will be sent in the dispatch email.

EU Delivery 

Unfortunately, since the UK left the EU we are unable to send anything to the EU. This may change if the agreements change.

US and Australian Delivery.

We use DHL international express delivery service, DHL quote a 2-3 delivery time to most parts, again, the times can vary in remote areas, and you will be aware of what to expect for where you live. The other possible delay is when going through customs going into the US or Australia.

Canadia Delivery 

Standard orders are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked post. Royal Mail will pass the delivery over to USPS in the US, Canada Post in Canada and Autralia Post in Australia, all of these countries can hold items in Customs as they enter the country, we have no control of this and it can add to the delivery time. As an average and general rule, Royal Mail say that it should take between 5-10 working days to deliver, obviously some parts of these countries take longer than others, but you will know what to expect for where you live. For Canada, any sent by DHL will trigger the customs duty, and this is payable by yourself, from experience a lot of deliveries via Canada Post seem not to trigger the duty payment, we have no idea why, this is just what has been fedback from customers.


Only UK deliveries have the cost included, deliveries outside of the UK incur an addition cost dependant on the destination, this will be displayed at the check out.

Part Shipments

If you order an item that is in stock, and an item which is not, then we will email you to see your preference of waiting till both items can be sent together, or sent separately. There will not be an additional charge if you would like them shipped separately.

Exchanges & Refunds

As regular on line shopper ourselves, we know that returns and exchanges, and the possible hassle associated with them, can be a worry, and we do not want anyone of our customers to worry.

In addition to your statutory rights for cancellation and returns which are shown on our terms page, You can return an order within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. For the Christmas period we change our policy so that any goods bought from the 1st October, can be returned up until the middle of January. If you have any special requirements on returns or exchanges, please let us know before you buy as we can make special arrangements in most circumstances.


All goods we sell have a 1 year guarantee, for our own products we take a case by case view on things.


If you need to return an order for a refund or exchange, please could you return any items as sent out.

  • For Bags- please can you replace the stuffing as it came out, this will help the bag keeps its shape, re wrapped in the bubble wrap, including the plastic bag, with tags attached as received and the protective dust bag, please keep the dustbag folded as it arrived. The goods must also be undamaged. Please be careful with handles, as these placed on the outside can cause the leather of the bag to be dented.
  • For nightwear- please can you repack the item as it arrived in the undamaged  original outer plastic bag and with the tags still attached.

With all orders, please return the paperwork sent out, or quote the order number as without this we will be unable to trace your order. If you would like to swap for another item, please can you write this on the paperwork detailing what you would like to swap for. If you would like to swap but are concerned if we have the stock, please let us know, if needed we can put an item by for you while the one you are returning journeys back to us.


We are really sorry to have to say this, but due to experience we have to. Any items that arrive back used and or damaged will not be eligible for a refund, any clothing returned covered in pet or other hairs will not be eligible for a full refund. It sounds mad, but the state of some of the items we receive back is astounding and have to be thrown away, or washed and given to charity, as ever the few ruin things for the many and we have to put notes of this nature here. In these cases the cost of the return postage will also be retained from any refund.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which cover catalogues and on line sales, the customer is responsible for the return of the item, and the vendor can withhold lost funds, if the item is not returned in an adequate manner.

As long as these conditions are met, we will happily offer a full refund or exchange for the returned item. 

Exchanges and refunds are usually made, the same day that we receive the item back. We will email you to confirm what is going on. A refund may take a little longer to appear on your bank statement from actual date of refund dependent upon your financial institution.

This does not affect your statutory rights under UK and EU Law.
